You will find that Las Vegas will not disappoint the shopper in you. It hosts shopping experiences including malls, centers, and outlets with a wide variety of brand-name merchandise. You will feel right at home in both indoor and outdoor venues to meet your every shopping need. Most locations are within walking distance or a short bus, trolley, or monorail ride from all of the major hotels and casinos. In fact, many of the hotels have shopping centers that follow their respective themes. Let’s take a look at shopping options located up and down the strip:

The Forum Shops at Caesar’s
The Forum Shops are a fairly recent addition to Caesar’s Palace. Bring your walking shoes and tons of money to visit the 170 shops and fine restaurants that outfit this shopping venue. There are sights and sounds to behold that follow the same Roman themes that Caesar’s is famous for. The Forum Shops also hosts one the many free shows along the Strip in the Roman Great Hall where the fountains relax and the statues come to life. You won’t have to get up at the break of day to be among the early birds either…mall hours are: 10am-11pm. On weekends they extend until midnight.

Mandalay Place
Mandalay Place is as unique as its hotel/casino counterpart, Mandalay Bay. It is also a first among shopping venues in Las Vegas in that it links Mandalay Bay with its sister property next door, the Luxor. There are 41 unique boutiques and restaurants to explore along the sky-bridge connecting the two properties. It’s shopping with a view and you won’t be disappointed by the line-up with retailers such as Urban Outfitters, Nike Golf, and BlankSpace. The hours are the same; 10am-11pm and open until midnight on the weekend.

The Tower Shops
The Stratosphere celebrates its 10th birthday this year. It is always worth a visit to the observation deck or a one-of-a-kind dining experience at the Top of the World restaurant that revolves high above the city. In addition, there is a selection of 50 fine shops and 16 kiosks for your shopping pleasure located on the second floor. You will find a wonderful variety of gift, clothing, and souvenir items available for purchase. If you’re a late shopper, the hours will agree with you as well: 10am-midnight; open until 1am on the weekend.

Via Bellagio
The Bellagio is quite obviously an upper-class and elegant experience with its spectacular fountains and lake. Nothing less is to be expected from their shopping venues that wind along the water. Don’t forget your wallet, Via Bellagio is a shopping experience for the elite with shops like Gucci, Chanel, Prada, and Tiffany & Co. Open daily from 10am to midnight.

Wynn Esplanade
The Wynn boasts another higher end shopping center on an international level with the likes of Jean Paul Gaultier, Oscar de la Renta, etc. Open daily.

Desert Passage
Desert Passage is located inside the Aladdin Hotel and Casino. It is among the larger in-house shopping areas on the strip with 170 unique specialty stores and 15 restaurants to choose from. There are other qualities that set Desert Passage apart as well. Hourly, shoppers can experience an indoor rainstorm, customized pedicab tours, and be entertained by various troupes performing throughout the mall. Open daily from 10am until 11pm, and 10 am until midnight on weekends.

Carnaval Court
Get in the shopping mood at Harrah’s with Carnaval Court, their New Orleans-themed shopping experience. Carnaval Court features a wide variety of shops with food, souvenirs, jewelry, and clothing. Open daily.

Fashion Show
You can’t miss the distinctive Fashion Show mall located across Las Vegas Blvd. from the Venetian Hotel and Casino. Fashion Show boasts 250 shops and restaurants and seven department stores. Shop familiar stores and new ones including Neiman Marcus, Saks Fifth Avenue, and Robinson’s May. Shoppers will also experience live runway shows Friday through Sunday. Mall hours are Monday through Friday, 10am to 9pm; Saturdays, 10am to 8pm; and Sundays, 10am to 7pm.

Las Vegas Outlet Center
Located about a half mile south of the MGM Grand on the Las Vegas Strip is the huge indoor shopping center, the Las Vegas Outlet Center. The center includes 130 brand name shops where shoppers have the opportunity to save 25% to 65% daily. Shop your favorite brands like Nike, Adidas, Reebok, Gymboree, and Calvin Klein. In addition, there are two food courts and a huge carousel. Open Monday through Saturday, 10am to 9pm; Sunday 10am to 8pm.

As you can see, you won’t have to leave the shopper in you at home. Las Vegas has more than gambling to offer and boasts some of the greatest shopping in the country. It is almost guaranteed that you will be able to find the perfect shopping venue with a short walking distance of your accommodations here in Sin City.
