The Mirage. Gorgeous from the mist sprayed valet area to the rooms.
it's undergone a remodel since we were there, but i hear that's just made it better.

casino, not too noisy. mixed crowd (age wise) and you could play War (remember that game?) against the house. good food. huge bathroom in our 2DD room. fresh orchids with the nightly chocolates on our pillows. centrally located to just about everything. the volcano was a cool experience. we did the cabana thing our last day, great! the white tigers and a bunch of dolphins were housed there as well.

one con, but i think this is a Vegas thing...a 3 foot deep pool? in 100+ degree weather i've been in cooler bath water. the poolside rinsing shower was more refreshing.

[...] Here’s what the New York Times has to say about a 36 hour visit to Sin City. Start with dinner at Burger Bar in Mandalay Place (3930 Las Vegas Boulevard, 702-632-9364). Then it’s time for a show. “Love,” a surrealistic, acrobatic take on the music of the Beatles at the Mirage (3400 Las Vegas Boulevard South). [...]
