The Riviera is a complete dump… rude cĀocktail waitresses (and the oldest ones in Vegas, I swear they are remnants from the Rat Pack days), rude dealers, dirty rooms, boring crowd…the works. The only thing good is they have a little dollar food stand and it was an extremely cheap place to stay.

The low cost does not offset the fact that this place is long overdue for the wrecking ball. It is a total dump. Our room was filthy dirty and it smelled like someone had died there. The Riviera management could not have cared any less when I reported having been verbally threatened by the people in the lobby pushing the Tihiti properties. I would not recommend staying at the Riviera even if it were for free.

My wife and I stayed at the Riviera for a weeks vacation. After checking into the room we went down to the pool for a couple of hours. when we returned, we discovered our room was broken into and cash and jewelery was taken. The worst part was the hotel reaction, “report it to your home insurance”(which we didnt have) they also tried to pursuade us not to contact the police! They didnt even offer any kind of comp. to offset this b.s. Ive never set a foot in the place since.

We were awakened at 5 am by a fire alarm. We dressed and walked down the stairs and joined a small group of people who had evacuated. We waited and no staff from the Riviera showed up. Someone finally went inside to inquire what was happening. We were told an electrician tripped the alarm. We asked what happened the next morning when we checked out. The clerk told us someone pulled a prank. When we inquired if the Riviera would do anything for our inconvenience we were told no. I sent inquiries three times to customer service to no avail. Not very concerned about customer service.

I had an absolutely abhorring experience here, this “hotel” is scary dangerous and unsafe! I was continually harassed catcalled with degrading remarks BY HOTEL EMPLOYEES! I filed a report with “security” who was untrustworthy and physically pushed me around. Some of my belongings are missing. Please be safe and don’t stay here! I have not been refunded for the unused portion of my stay and surprise surprise they’re being completely uncooperative. STAY AWAY!!
