The wife and I went to Vegas last year for our 1 year anniversary. We stayed at the Stratosphere. The hotel was OK. The rooms weren’t dirty and seemed to be well kept. The only complaint we had was the water STANK! Not the water that came out of the faucets in the tub but the water that came out the faucet in the sink outside the bathroom. Honestly, it smelled like sewage. It got to the point where we’d brush our teeth and wash our hands in the faucet in the tub it stank so much.
The room itself was smaller than I thought it’d be but it’s good enough for just two people. Any more than two, say a family of 3 or 4 for instance, is too much. At least in the room we were in that seemed to be the case.
They have a restaurant called “On Top of The World”, I believe, that rotates 360 degrees in little over a half hour. It’s a nice restaurant with pretty good food if I remember correctly. A little on the expensive side but not too bad (unlike the ‘Paris’ restaurant). The service was OK.
Overall on a scale of 1-10 I’d probably give it a 6…it’d be a 7 if not for the stinky water. Another reason why I’d only give it a 6 is because it’s at the end of ‘The Strip’ and you have to walk a few miles to get to most of the attractions. Considering that it was never less than 107 degrees (during the day) while we were out there (July), we’d drive.
