The South Strip Experience
There is no other place on Earth like the Las Vegas Strip. A Las Vegas vacation would not be complete without a generous portion of Strip experience. With so many different themes up and down that lighted way, no Las Vegas trip could ever be duplicated. We’re going to take a look at the South Strip area and examine the benefits of the portion of the Strip with its very own monorail.
There are loads of things to do just in this one small section of the Strip within just a short walk or maybe a ride. The three south most hotels on the west side of Las Vegas Boulevard are connected by a monorail that really makes it convenient to see what each has to offer. The first stop is Mandalay Bay where you’re going to find a unique beach theme complete with a beach, and a shark reef. You can sample the music of Abba at the featured show Mamma Mia or enjoy a day at the spa. Mandalay Bay is top-notch Las Vegas. All that glitters really is gold.
The next stop is the Luxor, which definitely holds its own reputation for entertainment. This Egyptian-themed paradise will make you feel like the Ruler of the Nile. There are sphinxes and other authentic Egyptian sculptures and artwork everywhere. If that’s not enough, the hotel is a pyramid complete with a detailed replica of Tutankhamen’s tomb as it was found by Howard Carter. The Luxor features an IMAX theater, and is dazzling crowds with the comedian, Carrot Top, nightly. If your focus is more on gambling, you can catch some gaming lessons here, as with every hotel on the strip, there is a full casino inside.
The third and final destination is the Excalibur, a medieval-themed castle where you will become Lords and Ladies as you sit to dine as a spectator of a jousting competition at the Tournament of Kings. Australian hotcakes, The Thunder From Down Under reside here as well as a newly signed on Louie Anderson. You can take in a little shopping and enjoy the décor along the Fantasy Faire Midway or spend a few hours at the spa or pool. This is area is never lacking in things to do, and should you get bored, you need only cross the street where a number of other casinos await including the MGM Grand, the historical Tropicana, and it’s just a short distance to Center Strip where legends like the Paris, the Monte Carlo, and the Bellagio are located.
It is always a good idea to check online for availability and special deals. An easy search will bring each and every location up on the first page usually in the top spot. You will not be disappointed with your South Strip experience. It may even become your Strip location of choice, as it lacks nothing in the way of a full Las Vegas vacation.
